Update from the family: No real updates. We turned up a slight possible lead that involves an individual who seems to be a “trainhopper” and has connections to Boulder. We heard something about Avery being “drugged” or “dosed”, possibly taken to Boulder, and that “she’s fucked”. This is not, I repeat not, a runaway situation.
Avery has been abducted. What we know is she rode the light rail from my Mom’s to the 16th St. Mall in Denver on Sunday 9/16/12. She was going to waste a few hours while waiting on her sister, Jamie to get off work. She took her hula hoop with her and was planning on going to the park there at the mall. Jamie talked to her sister at 2:45pm Sunday on her work break. Avery was happy and doing fine. Avery said she would be back at Grandma’s before dark so Jamie could pick her up when she got off work at 8pm. She was not heard from again. She did not have much with her as she was only going to be down there for a few hours. Her cell stopped receiving or sending at 5 pm Sunday. We have been working with the Denver Police and have been down there on foot all day and night yesterday and will continue the search. Thank you everyone for your prayers and thoughts. Special thanks to all who are out there with us searching. This is a Mothers worst nightmare and I am hanging on as best as I can…..
We have talked to many homeless folks, street kids and others. No one can place her after 5 pm Sunday. She was seen by many up until then. Nothing after that.

Visual Body Fat Comparisons - this is PERFECT! If the pictures are accurate, I’m somewhere around 20-21% & I’m striving for probably 17-18%.
last time i checked (a long time ago, using an online calculator and therefore with questionable accuracy) i was 24.88%… which still looks pretty spot on as far as these visual comparisons go. i’d love to be 17-18%, but would be happy anywhere <21%.

Everyone’s beautiful through different eyes. I know that some would want a body with 11%-12%, and some would find that beautiful, the same goes with every single picture here. The only thing (which some people might had me for) is that I do not support people who are like ‘I’m curvy and I don’t care what society thinks’, I don’t want to support people who are obese, I’m not saying you have to 20%-21% body fat. I’m saying please lose weight to be healthy, to be in the healthy fat percent rate.
When a friend smokes do you say ‘oh no that’s good for you, you’re lungs are healthy, not covered in black :)’ , no. You say ‘put that death stick down, those things will kill you!’. I think the same should go with obesity, being extremely over weight will kill you! So when I friend is heading down that road tell them! Tell them to put down the Mcdonalds and go running with you. Being healthy is sexy.

Why do people what abortion to be illegal? If you want it for religious reasons I have something to say. We (the humans who populate this earth) are not angels, we are not forced to follow Gods commands, it is our own choice whether or not we sin. So why don’t we let each individual decided whether or not they personally are going to follow what they believe is the word of God, or chose not to. That is how God created us, with the freedom to make that choice, so as a Christian, Catholic, ect.., how can you in good conscious disagree with God?
Also, think about the mental stability of any poor young women having to go through that….it makes me cringe. Then not only does she have to go through that traumatic experience, she has to carry around a reminder for 9 months. She has to watch people judge her, call her a ‘whore’ and a ‘slut’, blaming her, the victim. Where is the rapist in all of this? He isn’t punished. He isn’t publicly humiliated. Many many times he gets off scot free. ‘She had it coming’, for the way she dressed, for drinking, for going out alone, because she’s had sex before, ‘did you hear that she…..’. Stop. Nothing. NOTHING! Gives you the right to rape a human being. You disgust me, and you should be changed for your actions. And men trying to ban abortion, try walking in our shoes.
I’m not saying that if I ever (God forbid) got raped and became pregnant I would get and abortion, in fact I know I wouldn’t. I believe in God, and I know I will be rewarded for bringing that little bundle of joy into the world, rewarded for the pain I should not had to have gone through. Then after 9 month I will get to choose whether or not I keep that little guy. BUT IT IS MY CHOICE. So I deserve the right to make that choice, not be forced to have it punishing me because someone forced themselves upon me.
My scale determines whether or not I hate myself that day.
